My reasons for my involvement with the Ambassador Program are personal. I am the grandmother of a 20-year old transgender man (although in my mind, always a young boy). Finn is fortunate to belong to a wonderful community of friends and family.

He has always been loved and supported and encouraged to be his true self. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. I’ve seen too many kids struggling and suffering from lack of inclusion. Lack of support. Lack of friends and family. In the best case scenario, it’s an uphill battle. In the worst case scenario, it becomes unthinkable.

I want to be a part of the solution, not the cause. I want it known that I am a friend. An accepting and non-judgemental place to fall. I think it’s vitally important that our place of business as well as our outside lives, include everyone, accept everyone, welcome everyone as equal.
