Patient Access Rep – Proliance Pacific Rim Orthopedic Surgeons Walk-In Clinic

I joined the ambassadors committee to share my experience, strength, and hope. Before joining the Proliance Surgeons team, I worked for a large non-profit healthcare medical group. During my tenure there, I helped develop and implement the DEI programs and training modalities for the employees and providers.

I believe that healthcare should be accessible to everyone without judgment or condemnation. At my very first job in healthcare, the CEO stated I didn’t work for him. He said that “the patient is your employer you work for them” It is something I will never forget. I make sure that patients feel like a VIP in every interaction I have with them.

The ambassador program brings a lot of opportunities for education and discussions about how we can better understand our patients and their needs. I volunteer in public health clinics on my days off and enjoy the variety of patients I get to serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as an ambassador.
